Why Add PGP on Top of AES-256 Encryption?

How Does PGP Work?

The absence of a public directory does not undermine the verification mechanisms offered by PGP.

This fingerprint allows the recipient to verify that the key used corresponds to their correspondent's key and to confirm the sender's identity.
